“Discover a timeless movement rooted in devotion, spiritual wisdom, and the joyful service of Krishna.”
Inspired by Srila Prabhupada's teachings, we continue to share Krishna consciousness and create opportunities for people to connect, serve, and grow spiritually.
The Hare Krishna Movement is a worldwide spiritual movement rooted in the timeless teachings of the Vedic tradition and the devotional path of Krishna consciousness.
Inspired by Srila Prabhupada, we strive to help people discover spiritual knowledge, cultivate devotion, and experience a life of greater purpose through chanting, service, prasadam, and community.
Through spiritual programs, community service, prasadam distribution, cultural initiatives, and outreach, we continue to inspire meaningful spiritual growth.
The history of the Hare Krishna Movement dates back to 1966, when His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder-acharya, travelled to the United States to share the message of Krishna and introduce the practice of yuga-dharma – the congregational chanting of the holy names of Krishna. In 1967, he established the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) with a vision of developing a worldwide movement dedicated to spiritual knowledge and devotional living.
Srila Prabhupada’s mission was to systematically share spiritual knowledge, establish the sankirtana movement, and educate people in the principles and practices of spiritual life. He inspired his disciples to establish self-sufficient farm communities based on the principle of “simple living and high thinking” and founded a Gurukula in Dallas, Texas, in 1972 to introduce children to spiritual education from an early age.
He also trained his disciples in the time-honoured tradition of Deity worship and introduced the worship of Tulasi. In 1972, he established the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, through which his teachings and translations of Vedic literature were published and distributed in numerous languages, helping Krishna consciousness reach people across the world.Srila Prabhupada’s connection with devotional culture began in his childhood, when he participated in Ratha Yatra celebrations in Calcutta with his friends and neighbours. This early experience connected him with India’s rich spiritual heritage and the joy of devotional practices that would later become an important part of his life’s mission.
Our vision is to inspire spiritual growth, meaningful service, compassionate communities, and a deeper connection with Krishna through timeless Vedic wisdom.
Sharing the wisdom of Bhagavad-gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, and Vedic teachings to inspire spiritual understanding.
Encouraging chanting, kirtan, Deity worship, and other practices that nurture love and devotion to Krishna.
Serving society through prasadam distribution, spiritual programs, education, festivals, and compassionate outreach.
Promoting a simpler, natural way of life rooted in spiritual values, self-sufficiency, and harmony with nature.
Gokula Kshetram is growing into a place where devotion meets service. From temple construction and spiritual education to food distribution, cultural programs and community initiatives, every effort is guided by the desire to serve Krishna and uplift society.
As Gokula Kshetram continues to grow, it strives to create a meaningful space where people can connect with Krishna consciousness, discover timeless values, and contribute to the well-being of others. Through compassion, community participation, and selfless service, we seek to nurture a culture of devotion, harmony, and positive transformation.
